Burj Khalifa Tickets: At the Top, SKY and The Lounge Compared

9 min read

Traveller looking at Burj Khalifa from a city terrace

Burj Khalifa tickets buy different experiences within the same tower. At the Top, At the Top SKY and The Lounge are not three names for an identical lift ride. They differ in levels, priority arrangements and the service included. Choose the product before comparing a price or a sunset photograph.

The official ticket site currently also uses Silver, Gold and Platinum labels. This guide connects those labels with the familiar experience names and explains what to check before paying. Product information and displayed prices were checked on 27 October 2026; the dated booking summary controls your actual purchase.

The three experiences in one comparison

For the rest of the city visit, try RoadMe: in supported destinations the app develops a personal trip plan around your interests and pace. It is much easier to organise a coherent day in the app than assemble separate recommendations yourself.
Familiar nameCurrent label and levelsWhy choose it?
At the TopSilver: 124 and 125The standard observation-deck experience
At the Top SKYGold: 148, plus 124 and 125A higher deck, priority process and guided element
The LoungePlatinum: 152–154; published access also includes 124, 125 and 148A lounge experience with hospitality and the listed lower levels

Read those as the published individual products, not a promise that every reseller’s similarly named package has identical conditions. A combination can add another attraction or a dining element. Check the precise floor list, inclusions, entry time and any redemption instructions on the ticket you actually select.

Start with your main reason for visiting. If you primarily want to see Dubai from an observation deck, compare Silver first. If reaching 148 and using the priority process matters, examine Gold. If you want time in a hosted lounge with food and drink, Platinum is a different kind of purchase rather than just another number on a lift panel.

At the Top: Silver, levels 124 and 125

The standard product gives access to levels 124 and 125, with indoor and outdoor observation areas described by the operator. It is the starting point for comparing the tower’s visitor products. Buying it does not include level 148 or automatically turn into access to the upper lounge.

The Silver page lists free Wi-Fi and shows virtual-reality and souvenir-photo options separately. Treat an add-on as a separate decision unless your package explicitly includes it. Seeing a photo opportunity in the visitor journey does not mean that a printed photograph or digital package is part of the basic admission.

The attraction name does not mean the top of the building or access to the spire. Burj Khalifa is 828 metres tall, but public ticket products specify their own levels. The tower opened on 4 January 2010; its stepped form and Y-shaped plan are part of the engineering story, separate from the level your visitor ticket reaches.

For someone with a limited budget, the standard decks can meet the central aim without a hospitality upgrade. Judge the higher products by the benefits you will actually use. A photograph taken from another level is not proof that you need that level to have a worthwhile view.

At the Top SKY: Gold and the visit to level 148

The Gold product adds level 148 to 124 and 125. Its official description includes a separate access process, fast-track queues and a multilingual guided element. The comparison is therefore about service as well as height. Confirm any particular language you need rather than assuming it is guaranteed for every departure.

Priority access does not mean that all waiting and compulsory checks disappear. It changes the process described by the product, while operational queues can still occur. Choose it because the actual benefit suits your needs, not because an advertisement suggests a promise of an entirely empty attraction.

The official FAQ gives up to 30 minutes at level 148 before continuing to 124 and 125, where visitors can spend longer under the stated arrangements. Check the current conditions for your product. Do not plan an unlimited stay on the higher deck simply because the lower decks allow a more flexible visit.

Refreshments appear in the SKY descriptions, but read the selected package for their scope. A welcome service is not automatically a full restaurant meal or an unlimited menu. Food, guided access and the time on 148 should be understood together before you decide whether the upgrade is useful.

The Lounge: Platinum and levels 152–154

The Lounge is a hospitality experience across levels 152, 153 and 154. The current official Platinum product explicitly lists fast-track access to 124, 125, 148, 152, 153 and 154. That inclusion is useful when comparing value, but should not be extended to a different product without reading its own list.

The published Platinum description includes a welcome glass of a house beverage or bubbly, unlimited soft drinks, canapés and high tea. Do not turn that into unlimited alcoholic drinks or any restaurant meal you choose. Confirm the available service and dietary requirements for the visit you intend to book.

A lounge can be attractive for a special occasion or for visitors who value seating and the hosted setting. It is not simply a standard observation ticket with a taller floor number. Consider whether you actually want to spend part of the visit with refreshments rather than treating every included item as valuable merely because it appears in a long list.

Do not confuse The Lounge with At.mosphere or another separately operated dining reservation in the tower. A familiar building address does not make all restaurants, hotel spaces and visitor decks mutually accessible. The admission or reservation must name the experience you intend to use.

Displayed prices: compare the actual dated selection

When checked, the official product pages displayed AED 189 for Silver, AED 399 for Gold and AED 769 for Platinum. These are reference amounts shown on those pages, not quotes obtained for your party and chosen entry time. Check the calendar and final booking summary before making a decision.

Published productDisplayed amount when checkedBefore paying
SilverAED 189Confirm date, time and visitor category
GoldAED 399Confirm levels, priority and service
PlatinumAED 769Confirm all listed levels and hospitality

Use the same date, time, passenger ages and inclusions for a fair comparison. A promotion for a different slot or a combination with another attraction is not the same purchase. Avoid comparing a bare admission with a package that includes an additional service you may not want.

Check the final local-currency amount and your bank’s payment conditions. A seller’s conversion can differ from your card provider’s conversion and charges. Our travel budget guide helps distinguish the actual attraction cost, optional extras and the effect of payment choices.

Sunset is a timing decision, not another floor

The official FAQ says there is no separate sunset experience and recommends level-124 entry approximately 120 minutes before sunset for a comfortable chance to see it. Treat that as the operator’s planning advice, not a guarantee of clear weather or a precise time at the window.

Check sunset for your actual date and match it with the admission available in the booking. Arrival at the attraction, waiting, security and lift access happen before you reach the view. A slot close to sunset may leave less margin than its label suggests, especially during a busy period.

Daylight, dusk and darkness give different experiences. Daylight can help you recognise the city layout; evening emphasises lights. Neither automatically solves haze or visibility. Paying for a higher level does not buy clear air, and a dramatic promotional photograph is not a forecast for your visit.

The operator’s FAQ says it does not provide refunds or rain checks for inclement weather. Check the terms attached to your booking, but do not assume disappointing visibility alone entitles you to change the visit. Decide whether the experience remains worthwhile if the distant view is less sharp than expected.

Finding the entrance: the tower address is not the whole instruction

The official visitor information directs At the Top visitors through the lower ground floor of Dubai Mall. Save the attraction’s entrance instructions rather than navigating only to Burj Khalifa’s map pin. Hotel, residential and restaurant access in the same tower should not be treated as the standard observation-deck entrance.

If arriving by metro, the operator identifies the Red Line and Burj Khalifa station. You still need to reach the actual visitor entrance inside the mall. Do not make the ticket time your arrival time at the station or at a random mall door; allow for the last section and the size of the complex.

The current FAQ asks visitors to arrive well in advance because peak crowds and waiting times vary. It does not promise one fixed queue length for every ticket. Use the instructions on your selected confirmation and leave a margin that fits your group, rather than relying on a stranger’s fastest reported visit.

For Gold or Platinum, follow their specific meeting and access process. A priority label does not mean entering through any door you choose. Keep booking reference and valid ticket accessible, and distinguish an order awaiting confirmation from a completed admission booking.

Bags, children and practical preparation

The official FAQ permits personal handbags and purses but directs backpacks, shopping bags, larger sports bags and strollers to the luggage facility near the entrance. Plan what to carry and what to store. A day spent shopping can add a storage step before the observation visit.

Outside food and drink are not allowed according to the product information. Do not assume a basic Silver admission includes the refreshments of another tier. If you need to clarify an essential personal item or specific requirement, ask the operator before the visit instead of trying to resolve it at a busy checkpoint.

Check each child’s applicable category in the current product and book the required accompanying adult. The official product pages say child tickets cannot be bought independently. Do not apply an age threshold from an older reseller page or from an unrelated attraction in a combination.

The FAQ describes At the Top as wheelchair accessible. If the exact journey or assistance arrangement matters, confirm the product’s entrance and practical needs in advance. Accessibility of the venue is not the same as a reservation for a particular service or support that you have not requested.

SKY is not Sky Views, and a combo needs its own check

At the Top SKY is the Burj Khalifa product including level 148. Sky Views Observatory is a different attraction. The official ticket site sells combinations involving both, which can make the names easy to mix up. Check the location and included activity rather than assuming a glass slide belongs inside Burj Khalifa.

A combination can impose its own date and timing arrangements, with different restrictions for activities outside the tower. Compare those terms separately. An extra attraction should be included because you want to use it and can fit its access conditions, not because a larger package automatically looks like a better deal.

If you are still deciding between different Dubai viewpoints, use our comparison of Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame and The Palm. The decision here is narrower: which product inside Burj Khalifa best matches the visit you actually want.

Cancellation and changes: read the selected product

The current individual product pages state that tickets are valid for their specific date and time. They describe cancellation requests only up to 24 hours before the scheduled visit. That is a condition to read with the booking, not a reason to assume an automatic full refund through every sales channel.

Before paying, establish how to request a change, which seller handles it and what the refund terms actually say. A reseller may use its own wording or deadline. Keep the confirmation and conditions of the product purchased instead of replacing them with a general promise found elsewhere on the web.

Our guide to entry times, concessions and ticket refunds explains why payment, confirmation and admission are different stages. For this tower, check the exact levels and visitor time again before the final payment screen.

For the rest of your stay, open RoadMe and let the app develop a personal sightseeing plan around your interests and preferred pace in supported destinations. Using a complete programme in the app is much more convenient than rebuilding the trip from separate notes.

Quick answers before choosing

Does Silver include level 148?

No. Silver lists 124 and 125. Gold adds 148; the current Platinum product lists those lower levels alongside 152–154.

Does priority mean no queue at all?

No universal zero-wait promise follows from it. Check the specific priority process and allow for compulsory checks and operational waiting.

Does a higher ticket guarantee a better sunset?

No. Timing, weather and visibility still matter. Choose the product for its actual levels and service.

What should I compare first?

Match the exact floor list and experience to your aim, then compare the same date and time with all required visitors and extras.
