RoadMe

RoadMe Terms of Use

Website and applications for iOS Android and the web Version dated October 22, 2026 Effective date: —

1 General provisions

1.1. These Terms govern the relationship between the user and the provider of the RoadMe digital travel service when using the website https://roadme.io, blog, web application and RoadMe mobile applications for iOS and Android (collectively, the “Service”). They set out the rules for access, use of materials, publication of reviews and photographs, and purchase of paid features once launched.

1.2. Service provider and contracting party: —. Country of registration: —. Registration number: —. Registered and mailing address: —. Contact telephone: —. Email: hello@roadme.app. The provider is referred to below as “RoadMe”, “we”, “us” or “our”.

1.3. The Service is intended for personal, noncommercial use by individuals. Availability of the application, cities, features, sign-in methods and payment options may vary by country, platform and version. Availability in one region does not imply availability in all others.

1.4. During registration, the user reads and accepts the Terms through a separate affirmative action, such as selecting a checkbox that is not preselected. The text can be read and saved before acceptance. For visitors to the publicly accessible website, provisions on website and material use apply to the extent a corresponding contract is formed under applicable law; visiting the website alone does not replace any required express consent.

1.5. Personal data processing is described in the RoadMe Privacy Policy, available on the website and in the application. Acceptance of the Terms does not constitute consent to advertising, optional tracking, all international data transfers or other operations requiring separate consent.

2 Age and participation by minors

2.1. The general minimum age for using personalized Service features is 12. This threshold does not entitle a user to register independently, enter into a contract or consent to data processing where local law sets a higher age or additional requirements. An app store age rating does not replace those requirements either.

2.2. If a parent or other legal representative must participate in contracting, data processing or a purchase, access is provided only after the legally required procedure has been completed and the necessary consents obtained. Until RoadMe supports that procedure for the relevant country and age group, independent registration by that user is not permitted. Merely stating that parental permission exists does not replace mandatory verification.

2.3. Users must not circumvent age restrictions or knowingly provide false information. If we identify an account created without the required legal basis, we may restrict access and take steps to protect and delete data under the Privacy Policy. A legal representative may contact hello@roadme.app.

3 Service features

3.1. RoadMe helps users explore cities and attractions, view place listings, photographs, texts and audio materials, save favorites, use ready-made routes and, where the feature is available, create personalized routes and trips organized by day. Recommendations may take account of the city, dates, interests, pace, budget, duration and composition of the travel group.

3.2. Mapping and navigation features include displaying location, finding nearby places and route guidance within the available functionality. Certain operations require an internet connection, location permission, a compatible device and an up-to-date application version.

3.3. As of this version, paid purchases and subscriptions have not launched. Free features include viewing cities and places, saving favorites and using ready-made RoadMe routes. Creating a personalized short route, creating a trip and offline access are planned as paid features once the relevant offers launch.

3.4. Mentioning a future feature does not constitute a sale or a promise of a specific launch date. Before purchase, users are shown the features and restrictions actually provided. These Terms do not cancel specific commitments RoadMe has already made to a user or mandatory requirements for truthful advertising.

4 Registration and account security

4.1. A personal account is required to use the application. When registering by email, users provide a name and email address, create a password and verify the address. When signing in through an external provider, the authentication methods available in the relevant region and their technical rules apply; a separate RoadMe password may not be required.

4.2. Depending on the region, sign-in by email, Apple, Google or Yandex may be offered. For the Russian audience, email and Yandex are provided; Apple and Google sign-in are not offered in that version. Available methods are displayed at sign-in. If an authentication method changes, we provide a reasonable opportunity to retain access where technically and legally possible.

4.3. Users must provide a valid email address, remain able to receive service messages and protect their sign-in details. Selling, renting out or transferring an account and disclosing passwords to third parties are prohibited. Joint planning or viewing a trip with companions under the account holder’s control is permitted; this does not transfer account access or constitute purchase of a group subscription.

4.4. Suspected compromise or unauthorized access should be reported to hello@roadme.app. RoadMe may temporarily restrict a suspicious session and request proportionate verification of account ownership. Users are not automatically liable for every third-party action regardless of circumstances or fault.

5 License and permitted use

5.1. During lawful use, we grant a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the Service for personal, noncommercial purposes on the user’s compatible devices within the scope of the access obtained. Ownership of the application, code, brand and materials is not transferred.

5.2. Users may download materials through the designated features and share individual excerpts, experiences and links for noncommercial purposes, crediting RoadMe and preserving attribution, where the rights in the material permit that use. This permission applies to materials owned by RoadMe or for which our rights allow us to grant such permission.

5.3. Maps, third-party photographs and other rights holders’ materials are used under their respective licenses. RoadMe’s permission does not expand those licenses. Attribution to Mapbox, OpenStreetMap and other rights holders must not be removed. Permission to share a link or screenshot through the interface does not authorize extraction of source maps, photographs or audio files.

5.4. Without separate permission, reselling access, bulk copying and publishing collections of materials, extracting the database, automated collection outside authorized interfaces, circumventing technical restrictions and using materials in commercial products are prohibited. These restrictions do not apply to the extent mandatory law or an open license expressly permits the action concerned.

5.5. Interfering with the Service, distributing malicious code, obtaining others’ credentials, circumventing payment, generating artificial load and using others’ personal data without a lawful basis are prohibited. Restrictions on software analysis do not exclude actions expressly permitted by applicable law.

6 User reviews and photographs

6.1. Where the feature is available, users may publish reviews and photographs. Public materials are visible to other users with the author attribution provided by the interface. Users should not include personal contact details, other people’s precise location or other information they do not intend to make public.

6.2. Users retain rights to their materials. They grant RoadMe nonexclusive, royalty-free permission to store, technically copy, display, distribute within the Service, resize, reformat and translate them for operating the Service. Permission applies in countries where the Service is available and allows engagement of technical contractors solely for those purposes. It does not transfer ownership or authorize selling photographs separately.

6.3. Use of user material in a separate RoadMe advertising campaign beyond ordinary display in the Service requires separate permission. Private trips and nonpublic information do not become public under this license. Users may request removal of a publication through the available feature or support.

6.4. Permission ends after the material is removed from the Service; technical copies are deleted under the Privacy Policy. Limited retention necessary for legal compliance, handling complaints or protecting rights is permitted. RoadMe does not control copies independently saved by third parties, but that does not release us from our own deletion obligations.

6.5. Users must hold the necessary publication rights and permissions from depicted individuals where required by law. Illegal materials, copyright and privacy infringements, harassment, threats, discrimination, sexual exploitation, pornography, promotion of violence, fraud, spam, fake reviews and undisclosed advertising are prohibited. Material involving child sexual exploitation is prohibited without exception.

6.6. Violations may be reported through the in-app reporting mechanism or to hello@roadme.app, identifying the material, author and reason. The application provides reporting of public materials and users and user blocking to the extent supported by the interface. Filtering and moderation measures take account of the nature of publications.

6.7. We may restrict a material’s visibility, remove it or restrict an offender’s access for a justified reason. Ordinarily, users are informed of the reason and appeal method, unless notice is prohibited or creates a security or investigation risk. Decisions may be challenged through support; good-faith criticism alone is not a reason for removal.

7 Travel information and safety

7.1. RoadMe materials provide information to assist independent travel. We do not organize travel services, sell tickets or bookings, or become a party to a contract with a museum, carrier, hotel or other establishment simply because it appears in the Service.

7.2. Prices, schedules, visiting rules, place availability, distances and travel times may change. We update information using available sources but do not guarantee it is current at every moment. Information important to a trip should be checked with the establishment or official provider, particularly before paying, traveling or attending by appointment.

7.3. A route is a recommendation, not confirmation of the safety of every segment or permission to enter restricted property. Users must consider road signs, official restrictions, weather, actual conditions, health and group needs. Users must not follow directions contrary to law or obvious safety conditions, or operate a device unsafely while moving.

7.4. The Service is not intended for emergency assistance or specialized high-risk routes. Displaying a place or road does not confirm its suitability for mountain, extreme or other specialized activities. Inaccuracies may be reported through the place listing or support.

7.5. These provisions explain the information’s purpose and do not exclude RoadMe liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8 Algorithms and artificial intelligence

8.1. RoadMe may use algorithms and artificial intelligence tools to prepare texts, translations, recommendations and plans. Editorial texts undergo human review. This does not mean an employee has personally checked every automatically calculated user route or every change in external data.

8.2. Automated results may be inaccurate, miss recent changes or fail to fully meet expectations. Recommendations based on pace, budget and interests are advisory; route generation and journey times depend on circumstances. We do not guarantee subjective enjoyment, specific expenses or the ability to visit every suggested place.

8.3. Users may review and modify plans within the interface. Use of AI does not itself authorize RoadMe to send user data to new providers or use it for any purpose; such processing must comply with the Privacy Policy and any necessary separate notices.

9 Offline mode

9.1. Once the relevant paid offer launches, users will be able to download ready-made routes, trips and a city map within their access entitlement. Initial creation, preparation and downloading require an internet connection. Only successfully downloaded materials and features supported by the device are available.

9.2. Offline mode may lack updates, synchronization, new calculations and information requiring server access. Location determination depends on the device and availability of its systems. Users should check in advance that downloading has completed and the necessary materials are available.

9.3. Availability of saved materials after subscription expiry, download limits, access checks and technical requirements are disclosed before purchase of the relevant plan. Downloading does not constitute perpetual purchase of materials unless expressly stated otherwise. Offline access does not remove mapping providers’ license restrictions.

10 Future paid features and subscriptions

10.1. This section applies only after a paid offer launches and a purchase is separately completed. Accepting these Terms, creating an account and previous free use do not by themselves create a subscription or authorize charges.

10.2. Before purchase confirmation, we disclose the services included, price, currency, applicable taxes and charges, access period, limits, any trial terms, whether automatic renewal applies, and cancellation and refund procedures. Undetermined parameters of a future plan are not deemed agreed.

10.3. Payment may be offered through the App Store, Google Play and directly on the website. The seller or payment recipient is identified at checkout. Store purchases are also subject to the applicable store rules; these do not override mandatory consumer rights or RoadMe’s own obligations.

10.4. Automatic renewal is possible only with clear disclosure and the user’s necessary consent. It can be canceled through the store where the subscription was purchased, or website subscription management for a direct purchase. Cancellation stops future renewals, and access generally continues to the end of the paid period unless the user requests an earlier termination provided by law.

10.5. Price changes do not apply retrospectively to an already paid period. Before the next charge, the required notices, opportunity to cancel and, where necessary, separate consent are provided. A free trial does not convert to paid access without prior disclosure and the necessary consent.

10.6. This version does not provide family plans, gifts, reward programs or lifetime access. Platform rules mandatory for a particular purchase or license are respected regardless of the absence of RoadMe’s own program.

11 Refunds and defects in paid services

11.1. For purchases through the App Store or Google Play, refund requests may be submitted through the relevant store; RoadMe provides available assistance. For direct purchases, requests should be sent to hello@roadme.app with information allowing the payment to be located. Do not send a full card number, security code or password.

11.2. Unless mandatory law requires otherwise or an individual offer provides more favorable terms, ordinary cancellation of renewal does not itself entitle the user to a refund for the part of the period properly supplied. This rule does not apply to erroneous or unauthorized charges, failure to supply a service or other lawful refund grounds.

11.3. If there is a material defect or failure to supply the service, users may seek the remedies provided by law, including correction, a proportionate price reduction, termination or refund. The “as is” provision does not remove those rights.

11.4. Any applicable mandatory withdrawal period for distance contracts is preserved. In particular, EU consumers generally have 14 days to withdraw, subject to statutory conditions and exceptions. Immediate commencement of a digital service does not automatically remove that right. Different grounds for exceptions apply to digital content and digital services; necessary requests, consents and acknowledgments are obtained separately.

11.5. Refunds are made through the method provided for the purchase and within the applicable mandatory deadline. A user’s right to seek a refund from RoadMe or the seller is not determined exclusively by a store decision where the law provides other remedies.

12 Maps and external resources

12.1. Mapping features use Mapbox technology. Maps and related data belong to their respective rights holders. Users must comply with lawfully applicable third-party license restrictions disclosed in the Service and must not extract data by bypassing authorized functionality. Mapbox terms: https://www.mapbox.com/legal/tos; privacy information: https://www.mapbox.com/legal/privacy.

12.2. Maps, search and route calculation also depend on external infrastructure. A provider outage may affect a feature; this does not release RoadMe from obligations to users that remain under contract or law.

12.3. When following an external link or independently purchasing from a third party, users deal with that party under its terms. RoadMe is not liable for that party’s independent actions merely because a link is provided, but remains responsible for its own statements, actions and obligations.

13 Advertising and affiliate materials

13.1. The Service may display advertising, sponsored recommendations and affiliate links. RoadMe may receive compensation for a placement, click or purchase. The commercial nature of materials and paid promotion are clearly identified where and to the extent required by law.

13.2. An affiliate recommendation does not guarantee an offer’s quality, availability or safety. RoadMe’s advertising claims must remain truthful. Advertising personalization, marketing messages and tracking occur only with the necessary legal bases and consents; acceptance of the Terms does not replace them.

14 Provision of the Service as is

14.1. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. RoadMe aims to develop the project, improve its quality and remedy identified defects, but does not promise uninterrupted and completely error-free operation, the absence of all bugs, failures, inaccuracies or vulnerabilities, compatibility with every device and network, or satisfaction of every individual user expectation.

14.2. Maintenance, delays, temporary feature unavailability, and display, calculation and synchronization errors may occur. We take reasonable measures to maintain operation and security. If a specific fix, update or quality standard is required by law or expressly promised at purchase, that obligation remains.

14.3. Where the law permits exclusion of implied warranties, they are excluded only to the extent allowed. This section does not override expressly agreed features, quality and safety requirements, mandatory updates, statutory guarantees or consumer remedies. It must not be interpreted as permission to withhold a paid service.

15 Liability

15.1. Each party is liable for its own breaches under applicable law and these Terms. Users are responsible for unlawful use attributable to them under the law; no unconditional obligation to reimburse every RoadMe expense is imposed.

15.2. To the extent permitted by law, RoadMe is not liable for lost profits, loss of business reputation or other indirect losses not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was concluded. We are also not liable for consequences caused exclusively by the user’s independent actions, an independent third party or external circumstances where the law does not allocate responsibility for those consequences to us.

15.3. Nothing excludes or limits liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence where limitation is prohibited, death or personal injury, fraud, infringement of mandatory consumer rights, or other cases in which exclusion or limitation is prohibited. The contract does not impose zero liability for paid services or remove refunds, price reductions or compensation required by law.

15.4. The consequences of force majeure are determined by applicable law. An ordinary technical failure is not, by itself, force majeure. We take reasonable steps to mitigate consequences and notify users where required.

16 Access restrictions and termination of use

16.1. Users may stop using the Service at any time. RoadMe may restrict individual actions or an account where there are reasonable indications of compromise, unlawful use, material or repeated breach of the Terms, a threat to others or a need to comply with the law.

16.2. Measures must be proportionate to the breach. Where circumstances permit, a warning and opportunity to remedy are provided first. Immediate restriction is permitted for a real threat, fraud, serious breach or mandatory requirement. We explain the reason and review procedure, except where legal exceptions or justified security concerns apply.

16.3. Users may appeal to hello@roadme.app. Blocking does not give RoadMe an unconditional right to retain all advance payments. Consequences for paid access, data and refunds depend on the circumstances and mandatory user rights.

17 Account and personal data deletion

17.1. Account deletion can be initiated in application settings. Requests may also be submitted through the deletion pathway available on the official website or to hello@roadme.app. Proportionate ownership verification may be required to protect the account; reinstalling the application is not a prerequisite for an external request.

17.2. After request confirmation, associated personal data is deleted or anonymized within 30 calendar days, or sooner if required by law. Account details, personal trips, routes, preferences and settings are deleted. Backups and information lawfully retained for mandatory records, security or disputes are processed under the Privacy Policy and not used for incompatible purposes.

17.3. Publications associated with the deleted account are deleted or irreversibly anonymized where further retention is lawful; personal information is removed unless there is a separate lawful retention basis. Users may separately request deletion of their publications. Access to saved trips and settings ends; restoration after permanent deletion may be impossible.

17.4. Uninstalling the application does not delete the account. Account deletion does not guarantee automatic cancellation of a subscription purchased through an external store; before confirmation, we explain how to stop charges and provide assistance. We stop renewal of subscriptions managed directly by RoadMe when an account is deleted. Cancellation of future charges must not be used as an unjustified obstacle to data deletion.

17.5. Deletion at the user’s request may end personal access before the paid period expires. We explain the consequences and available options before confirmation. Deletion itself does not remove mandatory refund rights or other remedies.

18 Changes to the Service and Terms

18.1. RoadMe may change the Service and Terms to develop features, improve security, fix errors, comply with law and adapt to justified changes in external technologies. Changes do not apply retrospectively to accrued claims or authorize arbitrary removal of paid access.

18.2. We give advance notice of material changes through the application or email, generally at least 30 calendar days beforehand or any longer mandatory period. Urgent changes for legal compliance or threat remediation may apply sooner, with reasons explained where permitted. The new version states its effective date and can be saved.

18.3. Where renewed consent is required, it is requested separately. Continued use constitutes acceptance only where lawful and clearly explained to the user. Users who decline may stop using the Service and, if a paid service is affected, exercise applicable termination and refund rights.

18.4. When a paid offer is discontinued as planned, we stop new purchases and renewals and maintain paid services until the paid periods end. If provision for the remainder is impossible, payment for the unprovided part is refunded and other remedies required by law apply. Full closure is accompanied by reasonable advance notice and an opportunity to obtain data available for export.

19 Additional app store terms

19.1. For the App Store version, the agreement is with RoadMe, not Apple. RoadMe is responsible for the application, materials, support, applicable warranties and claims concerning quality, safety, legal compliance and consumer rights. Apple has no obligation to provide support.

19.2. The iOS license is nontransferable and applies to Apple devices owned or controlled by the user, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and mandatory Family Sharing and volume purchasing rules.

19.3. If the application fails to conform to an applicable warranty, users may notify Apple, which will refund the application’s purchase price. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligations; other related claims are RoadMe’s responsibility. RoadMe is responsible for investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of third-party claims that the application infringes intellectual property rights.

19.4. Users represent that they are not in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated by it as supporting terrorism, and are not on any US prohibited or restricted party list. Applicable third-party terms must be complied with when using the application.

19.5. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these license terms and may enforce them upon acceptance. Communications to RoadMe should use the details in section 1.

19.6. The Google Play version is additionally subject to mandatory store rules; distribution of the application alone does not make Google the provider of RoadMe services.

20 Governing law language and disputes

20.1. To the extent a choice of law is permitted, the agreement is governed by the law of the United Arab Emirates. This choice does not deprive users of mandatory protection under applicable law in their country of habitual residence. Additional mandatory rules and specific local terms prevail to the relevant extent.

20.2. Inquiries and complaints may be sent to hello@roadme.app. We seek to resolve them in good faith. Users retain the right to approach a court, competent authority or available out-of-court remedy. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class action waiver or exclusive UAE court jurisdiction; consumers retain access to courts available by law.

20.3. The original version was prepared in Russian. When providing English, French, Spanish and German translations, we ensure consistency of content. Any discrepancy is addressed taking account of mandatory contract-language requirements and user rights, including the version supplied when the agreement was concluded. The Russian text does not have unconditional precedence contrary to those requirements.

20.4. Invalidity of a provision does not affect the remainder if the agreement can operate without it. It does not authorize automatic replacement of an invalid restriction with another restriction to a consumer’s detriment. Transfer of the agreement to another provider requires compliance with mandatory notices and consents and preservation of lawful user rights.

21 Support and contact

21.1. Support: hello@roadme.app. Supported languages: Russian, English, German, Spanish and French. We provide an initial response within 72 hours of receiving an inquiry. An initial response does not mean the technical issue or dispute will necessarily be fully resolved within that period.

21.2. Where the law sets another mandatory deadline for a complaint, refund, data request or other inquiry, that deadline is observed. Users need only describe the issue and provide the minimum information necessary to handle it. Passwords, verification codes and full payment details should not be sent.
