RoadMe Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

1. What Cookies Are

1.1. Cookies are small pieces of data that a website stores in the user’s browser. They let the website remember the user’s choices and collect anonymised visit statistics.

1.2. This Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies the website https://roadme.io and the blog https://roadme.io/blog use, why they are needed and how to manage your choice. It supplements the RoadMe Privacy Policy.

2. Cookies We Use

2.1. Necessary cookies remember the user’s choice about cookies and the language of the website. They do not require consent: without them the website cannot respect these choices.

2.2. Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the website and the blog: which pages they open, where they come from and where they run into difficulties. Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica are used for this. Analytics cookies are set only after the user consents.

2.3. Yandex Metrica has Session Replay (Webvisor) switched on — a tool that records actions on a page (scrolling, cursor movements, clicks) so that we can find the inconvenient parts of the website. By default it hides what is typed into input fields, and it runs only with consent to analytics cookies.

2.4. The website and the blog do not use advertising cookies.

3. List of Cookies

3.1. The website and the blog may set the following cookies:

3.2. All cookies except roadme_consent and NEXT_LOCALE are analytics cookies. The longest retention periods are given: the browser may delete cookies earlier.

3.3. Yandex Metrica also keeps service data in the browser storage (localStorage) and may use cookies on Yandex’s own domains (for example, yandexuid, i, ymex) for up to 1 year. See the Yandex documentation for details: https://yandex.com/support/metrica/en/general/cookie-usage. For Google Analytics cookies, see the Google documentation: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/11397207.

4. Consent and Withdrawal

4.1. On the first visit, the website shows a banner. The user can accept all cookies, keep only the necessary ones or choose categories in the settings. Refusing is as easy as agreeing.

4.2. Until the user makes a choice, the analytics counters are not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.

4.3. The choice applies on the RoadMe website and blog and is stored in the roadme_consent cookie for 12 months. When it expires or this Policy changes significantly, the website will ask again.

4.4. You can change your choice or withdraw consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of any page. When consent is withdrawn, the website’s analytics cookies are deleted and the page reloads without the counters.

5. Managing Cookies in the Browser

5.1. Cookies can be deleted or blocked in the browser settings. Instructions are in the browser’s help pages.

5.2. If all cookies are blocked, the website cannot remember the user’s choice and will show the banner on every visit.

5.3. Browser extensions let you opt out of data collection on all websites: for Google Analytics — https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, for Yandex Metrica — https://yandex.com/support/metrica/en/general/opt-out.

6. Changes to the Policy

6.1. We update this Policy when the set of cookies or analytics services changes. The current version is published on this page with the date of the last update.

7. Contact

7.1. Questions about cookies and data processing can be sent to hello@roadme.app.
