Tokyo Disney tickets solve two different problems: admission to a park and access arrangements for individual experiences. A normal 1-Day Passport names one park and one date. Disney Premier Access is a separate paid service for selected attractions or performances; it is not admission to the resort or an unlimited fast-track package.

Information checked on 27 October 2026\. Prices, service lists and operating arrangements change. The important current differences are that the 40th Anniversary Priority Pass has ended, Fantasy Springs currently allows ordinary attraction queues, and the limited-period Park Hopper is not currently offered.

## Choose the park before paying

Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are separate parks within Tokyo Disney Resort. Their names are not interchangeable ticket labels. Choose the park containing the experiences you care about, then select the date and admission type. Buying a Disneyland ticket does not automatically admit you to DisneySea.

> For supported destinations, [RoadMe](https://roadme.io/?ref=roadme.io) develops a personal trip plan around your interests and preferred pace. Planning in the app makes it easier to give a major visit enough time while organising the rest of your holiday comfortably.

Disneyland offers the familiar Disney theme-park tradition, while DisneySea has its own sea-inspired identity and Fantasy Springs. That does not make one universally better or assign one exclusively to children and the other to adults. Choose by the specific experiences your party wants and can actually use.

The distinction has historical roots: Tokyo Disneyland opened in 1983 and DisneySea in 2001\. They developed as separate parks rather than two halves of one ordinary admission. Do not import ticket products, apps or priority systems from Paris, California or another Disney resort.

## Admission products and reference prices

| Product | Published starting price | What it provides |
| ---------------------------- | ------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| 1-Day Passport, adult 18+ | ¥8,900 | One selected park on its designated day, from opening. |
| 1-Day Passport, junior 12–17 | ¥7,400 | The same admission, in the matching age category. |
| 1-Day Passport, child 4–11 | ¥5,300 | The same admission, in the matching age category. |
| After 3 Passport, adult | ¥7,900 | Selected park from 3 p.m. on weekends and holidays. |
| After 5 Passport, adult | ¥6,000 | Selected park from 5 p.m. on weekdays excluding holidays. |

These are current published starting amounts, not a promise for every date. The resort uses variable pricing. Read the calendar for the actual park, date and category before comparing the final total. Children aged three and under enter free; do not purchase the 4–11 category for a child who does not need it.

Late-entry products shorten your available time and do not become full-day tickets simply because you arrive early. Check that day's closing time and the performances you want before buying. The lowest displayed admission price also excludes optional paid experience access, food, travel and accommodation.

## When tickets go on sale and where to buy

The official schedule releases tickets daily at 2 p.m. Japan time for the same calendar date two months later. If that date does not exist in the purchase month, the stated arrangement uses 2 p.m. on the first day of the following month. Use the official calendar rather than assuming a fixed number of days.

Buy through the Tokyo Disney Resort official website or its app with a MyDisney Account. The online purchase limit is ten park tickets per transaction. The resort says its entrance ticket booths are currently closed: arriving with cash is not a reliable way to buy your basic park admission.

Some travel agencies and convenience stores also sell tickets under their own arrangements. Guests at Disney hotels have a hotel purchasing route; other affiliated hotels require the appropriate accommodation plan with ticket-purchase eligibility. A hotel being nearby or describing itself as affiliated does not establish that every room booking includes admission.

Check whether an intermediary issues an actual usable park ticket or a voucher with further steps. Read the seller's change process and collection instructions before paying. A cheaper-looking listing is not comparable until its park, date, category and access conditions match the product you need.

## One park, two parks and the expired Hopper offer

At the time of checking, the official FAQ says the 1-Day Park Hopper Passport is not currently available. It says that visiting both parks on the same day requires separate tickets for each. Do not build your budget around a special offer simply because a search result still displays its old sales page.

Limited-period Hopper products can return with their own dates and rules. Their historical existence does not make an ordinary 1-Day Passport a two-park ticket now. Check the live product list for your visit rather than treating a previous season's name or price as permanent.

For a first visit, choosing one park for a full day is often the simpler planning decision. This is a practical preference, not an official restriction on buying separate admissions. If you choose both, allow for the real transfer and separate entries instead of assuming the second park begins at the first park's exit.

## Admission is separate from Disney Premier Access

Disney Premier Access, or DPA, is purchased for an eligible experience and its designated time. For attractions it offers reduced waiting; for participating parades and shows it gives the specified viewing arrangement. It does not promise zero waiting, every attraction or unlimited use throughout the day.

You need the underlying park admission as well. DPA cannot be bought from your hotel before entering the park: the official FAQ says purchase becomes possible after park entry. Attraction tickets included in a Vacation Package are a separate product, not proof that ordinary DPA can always be reserved before arrival.

Availability is limited and can end during the day. Prepare a shortlist before visiting, but treat it as preferences rather than guaranteed reservations. Do not buy a park ticket solely on the assumption that a particular DPA slot will certainly remain when you enter.

The relevant price is charged per participating person for the selected experience. A price shown next to one attraction is not the cost of a pass covering the whole park. Check the number of participants and the displayed total before confirming.

## Use the app for the whole party

1. Download the Tokyo Disney Resort App and sign in to MyDisney before the visit.
2. Make sure the tickets for the correct park, date and participants are available.
3. Enter the park with the people who will use the service.
4. Select Disney Premier Access and the relevant party tickets.
5. Choose the experience and an available time, checking restrictions and other bookings.
6. Check the complete price and participant count before confirming payment.

Creating an app group helps coordinate the party, but it does not make an absent person eligible for services. The official rule requires tickets already used to enter the park that day. If three of four people have entered, you cannot select the fourth person's unused ticket for DPA.

Once the last person enters, you can try for the full party, subject to what remains available. Separate purchases may produce different times or viewing positions. Decide who coordinates the booking and which people actually intend to experience it, especially where height or other restrictions differ.

## The next purchase and the time window

For another attraction, the official DPA rule allows the next purchase after 60 minutes or once the purchased admission time arrives, whichever is earlier. Repeating the same attraction has its own condition: after using the purchased access or after its designated time has passed.

Attraction DPA and parade or show DPA can be held at the same time. This does not mean you should select conflicting appointments. The app shows the next eligible purchase time; read that display instead of trying to manage every rule from memory.

Return at the specified time through the entrance indicated for the experience. DPA becomes invalid once the selected window has passed. An admission ticket valid for the day does not extend that experience's narrower deadline or guarantee accommodation if you arrive late.

Height and other experience requirements still apply. Paying does not override them. Check eligibility before confirming, and leave time to move between venues rather than choosing appointments that only work with immediate boarding and no walking.

## Free services are different, and Priority Pass has ended

| Service | Purpose | Important limitation |
| ------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Disney Premier Access | Paid access at a selected time for eligible experiences. | Separate from admission, limited availability and product conditions. |
| Entry Request | Free application for participating shows or greetings. | Only successful requests provide the applicable access. |
| Standby Pass | Free arrangement to join a designated venue's queue at the assigned time. | It is not a universal reduced-wait pass. |
| 40th Anniversary Priority Pass | Former service described in older guides. | Ended on 31 August 2026. |

Entry Request is limited to one attempt per required venue per day. A park ticket does not guarantee success. Standby Pass applies only to specified venues and periods, including participating shopping or greeting arrangements; look at the current list for your day.

Do not plan around obtaining the former Priority Pass. Its name still appears in older guides and materials, but the current official FAQ records its end date. The similarity of English service names is a reason to check the actual function, not to treat them as interchangeable priority tickets.

## Fantasy Springs no longer follows its opening-day rules

The current official Fantasy Springs page says the area has no entry restrictions and can be entered like the other themed ports. It also says attractions can be experienced by joining their ordinary queue or by buying available Disney Premier Access.

Older launch-era instructions requiring a special access arrangement for every attraction should not be treated as the current baseline. Area access and attraction use remain separate ideas, and operating restrictions can still change. Check the current official park information before relying on a dated tutorial.

This does not guarantee that every ride will be operating or suitable for every participant. You still need DisneySea admission, must meet attraction conditions and should check temporary closures. A normal queue is an available way to participate, not a promise of a short wait.

## Payments, phones and alternatives

The DPA app service accepts eligible credit, debit and prepaid cards. The official FAQ lists JCB, Visa, Mastercard and American Express for cards issued outside Japan, while warning that some cards may still be declined despite their brand. A logo is not a guarantee that your particular bank transaction will work.

PayPay and Alipay are not accepted for DPA according to its payment FAQ, even though payment options for Mobile Order differ. Do not apply one app service's payment list to another. Resolve card access and bank confirmation arrangements before your trip where possible.

For guests without an appropriate card or app, DPA can also be purchased at specified in-park facilities, including Main Street House in Disneyland and Guest Relations in DisneySea. The official FAQ includes cash among the methods there. This is an alternative for the add-on service after entry, not an open cash ticket booth for park admission.

Keep your phone charged and able to connect, and agree how the party will meet if devices fail. For connectivity preparation, our [guide to travel internet and eSIM](https://roadme.io/blog/how-to-choose-a-travel-esim-compatibility-coverage-and-plan-terms/) covers the broader choices. Do not assume a screenshot of any app screen replaces every live access code.

## Changing admission is not the same as cancelling it

For eligible tickets bought through the official route, the published process allows date and age-category changes within ticket validity, subject to available admission. It does not allow changing the park, ticket type or expiration date. Personal-reason cancellations and refunds are not accepted.

The change process charges the full amount of the new ticket and refunds the full old amount, even when the prices match. It is not simply a charge for the difference. Leave room for that payment sequence rather than assuming only a small extra amount needs to be available.

DPA has stricter purchase confirmation: changes and cancellations are not accepted after confirming payment. Missing its window does not create a refund right. Operator-caused disruption or cancelled performances can have specific remedies, so ask staff about the particular case rather than assuming every change in weather brings a refund.

If you leave and want to return to the same park later that day, tell a cast member when exiting and retain the valid ticket. Same-park re-entry is not permission to enter the other park. Our [guide to admission times, concessions and refunds](https://roadme.io/blog/museum-exhibition-tickets-times-concessions-refunds/) explains how to compare these distinct rights.

> After fixing your major visits, let [RoadMe](https://roadme.io/?ref=roadme.io) develop a personal plan for a supported destination around the places you care about. Organising the wider trip in the app helps preserve a comfortable pace instead of filling every gap with another commitment.

Before paying, check five things: the right park, the actual date, each age category, what the admission includes and which optional services are only available after entry. A clear separation between admission and add-ons makes the budget and expectations much easier to manage.
