In Nice, you can leave luggage at the staffed service inside Nice-Ville station, the service centres at Nice Airport, city lockers or a booked partner shop or hotel. Choose according to where you must collect the bag, not only the lowest advertised price. The decisive check is often the collection cutoff: a station or terminal can remain open after its storage service stops accepting visitors.

## Which Nice luggage-storage option fits your day?

For a train departure, start with the actual Nice-Ville station service. For a flight, compare terminal storage with a city location that fits your complete journey. If you need an evening collection, confirm the individual site's access hours before paying. A platform offering some round-the-clock locations does not make every listed shop available overnight.

| Option | Useful when | Main condition |

| Nice-Ville staffed storage | Your onward journey uses that station | Booking page limits drop-off and collection to 08:15–20:30 |
| Airport Terminal 1 or 2 | Returning to the airport suits the day | Storage-specific hours are 08:00–21:00 |
| 8 rue Barralis lockers | A city location fits your plans | 06:00–23:00, available on site without online reservation |
| Booked partner business | Its location and hours match your journey | Book the exact site and check the final price |

This is a storage comparison, not a walking route. Your accommodation may also agree to hold bags before check-in or after checkout, but that needs a direct answer. Do not assume that the room booking includes storage, access at any hour or the same conditions for non-residents.

## Nice-Ville: there is a staffed service inside the station

SNCF Gares & Connexions currently lists Consignes La Bag Mobile inside Nice-Ville, in the east hall near the waiting room. That is different from a commercial partner described as “near Nice station”. Use the confirmed service name and the station's directions; do not assume every result using the station name is inside the building.

The general opening period is 08:15–21:00 daily. However, the operator's linked Nice booking page explicitly permits deposits and collection only from 08:15 to 20:30, with no passage accepted during the last 30 minutes before closing. For a practical plan, treat 20:30 as the cutoff and return earlier rather than aiming for 21:00.

The initial published 24-hour rates distinguish item categories: €5.50 for cabin luggage, €7.50 for a medium bag, €9.50 for checked-size luggage and €15 for items such as bicycles, instruments or skis. The station service also lists €3 for helmets, jackets and keys. Confirm the category for your actual item before using a headline starting price.

Beyond the first day, the SNCF service page states €5 per additional day per bag, regardless of size. Select the real deposit and collection dates in the operator's calculation and read the final amount. A daily tariff and a short opening window answer different questions: paying for another day does not create access after the collection cutoff.

Online reservation is recommended for the station service. A listing or a price page is not a confirmed place for your bag. Check availability, number of pieces, the exact category and the instructions attached to the booking before leaving your accommodation.

Do not substitute an older luggage-delivery collection schedule for ordinary storage. A service that transports bags and a counter that keeps them locally can have different hours and conditions. Likewise, the station's train-access hours do not extend the luggage counter's collection period.

## Nice Airport: storage at both terminals

The airport's dedicated luggage-storage page lists service centres in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, before security. It gives daily storage hours of 08:00–21:00\. A more general service-centre page advertises an earlier opening, but for luggage use the specific storage hours and confirm your required arrangement if the timing is close.

The published ordinary deposit is €19 per bag for the initial period under 24 hours, followed by €19 per bag for each additional 24-hour period. Oversized items such as bicycles, golf equipment and skis are listed at €21 per 24 hours. A motorcycle helmet has a separate €5 daily rate. These are item-based categories, not one price for a family’s entire luggage.

For drop-off, the airport asks for valid identification and a telephone number. Staff seal the luggage before storage. Keep the receipt for collection. The service describes a maximum collection period of 30 days unless another arrangement has been agreed; that does not mean you can collect at any hour of the night.

The airport excludes perishable food, valuables, hazardous items, animals and plants, and can refuse suspicious contents. Prepare the bag before reaching the counter. Keep the original identification, essential medicines, phone and items you need for the next few hours with you rather than discovering they are sealed inside the deposited suitcase.

Airport storage makes sense when the terminal is a practical return point. It can be inconvenient if your day ends at the railway station or another part of the city. Include travel to collect the bag and onward airport procedures in the decision, not just the distance between a hotel and the first activity.

Baggage storage is separate from airline check-in, a bag left on a flight and lost property. If the airline already holds your checked bag, you do not collect it from a public storage desk. If an item is missing, follow the relevant lost-property or airline process instead of booking a new deposit.

## City lockers: 8 rue Barralis

Bagmobile lists automatic lockers at 8 rue Barralis with daily access from 06:00 to 23:00\. Its location card says lockers are available on site without online reservation. Do not apply the station's online-booking recommendation or its cabin-bag price to this different product.

Locker pricing depends on size and duration. Check the tariff actually displayed for the locker you will use, the charging period and the retrieval process before paying. A starting rate for a staffed bag deposit is not evidence of the cost of a city locker.

Measure the suitcase including wheels, handles and projecting pockets. The operator describes several locker sizes and labels dimensions as indicative by location; the actual available compartment and door opening determine whether your bag fits. A familiar airline cabin label is not a universal locker measurement.

Unreserved access also means you should not assume a suitable compartment will be free. If you depend on this location before a timed departure, keep a workable alternative. Check access to the building and the locker separately rather than interpreting a security or monitoring statement as 24-hour customer entry.

## Partner shops and hotels: book the particular address

Platforms such as Bounce and Nannybag list partner businesses where staff keep luggage. A shop, hotel or café can provide a convenient location, but it is not necessarily a bank of self-service lockers. Look at the actual deposit process instead of choosing by the word “locker” in a search result.

Nice's tourist office describes Bounce bookings as online reservations, with no cash payment or walk-in acceptance at the partner. Nannybag likewise requires booking and payment in advance through its service. A shop open to ordinary customers does not automatically accept an unbooked suitcase under the platform's terms.

Check the exact date, bag count and collection time before paying. Site hours differ and can include a break or a closing day. An advertisement for round-the-clock support refers to customer assistance, not a promise that the particular business will open for your late collection.

A location described as “Nice Airport” can be outside the terminal. Confirm the real address and the complete journey with luggage. A nearby pin or a marketing category does not establish terminal access, a walkable route or an airport-operated service.

Read size, weight and prohibited-item terms for the selected product. Do not assume every network accepts unlimited dimensions because a tourist listing says “all luggage”. A provider's current terms and the partner's capacity matter, particularly for equipment, unusually heavy bags or many pieces.

Prices shown as “from” are not a confirmed total for your booking. Compare the same item type, duration and bag count, including any applicable charges shown before payment. Protection claims also need conditions checked; a headline amount is not unlimited cover for every object inside the suitcase.

## Compare the complete cost and retrieval journey

A simple arithmetic example uses published ordinary categories: two cabin bags at the station's initial €5.50 rate total €11; two ordinary airport bags at €19 total €38 for the corresponding initial period. These are different services at different locations, not a claim that one always wins. Confirm that your bags and times actually meet each category.

Add any extra travel needed to reach storage, return for collection and continue to your train or flight. A lower deposit price can become less practical once it requires an unnecessary journey. A more expensive terminal option can be sensible when you already return there, but not automatically for every visitor.

Keep the storage fee distinct from luggage delivery. Airport-to-hotel transport of bags is a separate service with its own arrangements. Paying to store a suitcase does not mean it will appear later at your hotel, station platform or departure terminal.

Ask your accommodation about its own arrangement before booking a separate counter. If it agrees to hold the bag, establish cost, receipt, collection hours and access after checkout. Our explanation of [accommodation extra charges](https://roadme.io/blog/accommodation-extra-charges-deposits-tourist-taxes-and-cleaning-fees/) helps identify which services are included and which require another payment.

## Prepare the bags before handing them over

1. Take out identification, payment methods, essential medicines and the items needed while the bag is stored.
2. Count each separate piece and compare it with the reservation.
3. Close the luggage properly and follow the operator's restrictions on contents.
4. Keep the receipt, booking reference or retrieval instructions somewhere accessible.
5. Confirm the collection cutoff with the staff or the selected site's instructions.

A small day bag helps avoid needing access to the suitcase during storage. Our guide to [packing without excess weight](https://roadme.io/blog/carry-on-only-how-to-pack-without-excess-weight/) explains how to separate necessary items from the rest. It does not replace the storage operator's own acceptance rules.

At handover, check that the receipt or confirmation matches the bag count and service you bought. If another person might collect the luggage, ask about that process in advance rather than assuming a forwarded message is sufficient. Identity and retrieval requirements vary by service.

> In supported cities, [RoadMe](https://roadme.io/?ref=roadme.io) can build a complete personal visit plan matching your interests and comfortable pace. With storage and collection already settled, organising the time between arrival and departure becomes much more convenient.

## Work backwards from collection, not closing time

Start with the train or flight you must catch and its actual passenger procedures. Add the journey from storage, time to retrieve the bag and a margin appropriate to your circumstances. For Nice-Ville, respect the operator's 20:30 collection cutoff even though the general service closes at 21:00\. Do not plan to arrive at the last accepted minute.

If your plans change, contact the actual operator or platform before the agreed collection time. Extending a reservation, paying an additional day and obtaining physical access are separate issues. Do not rely on a shop opening specially after closure or assume that a booking extension changes the door hours.

## Questions before you leave the suitcase

**Are there lockers at Nice-Ville?** The current station listing confirms a staffed Bagmobile storage service inside the station. Do not confuse it with the automatic city lockers or off-site partner shops.

**Can I collect airport luggage overnight?** The dedicated airport storage page gives 08:00–21:00 access, not overnight collection. Arrange a different solution if that does not fit.

**Does a cheap starting price cover a large suitcase?** Not necessarily. Confirm the bag category, duration and full payable amount.

**What is the most important check?** That you can collect your actual bag at the exact site in time for the next journey. Price, location and availability only become useful when that condition is satisfied.
